Who is Marie ?

French teacher, language enthusiast, and your future guide to confident communication in French.

About Marie – French With Marie

With a Master’s degree in FLE and years of experience teaching in Paris and online, I specialize in helping intermediate and advanced learners (B1–C1) break through the plateau and speak French with ease.

I’ve taught at prestigious institutions in Paris, including Université Paris Descartes, ECV, and IS-DBA, where I helped international students prepare for the DELF B2 exam so they could pursue higher education in France.

As a certified DELF and DALF examiner, I know exactly what examiners are looking for and I use this insight to help my students prepare effectively and confidently.

Since 2020, I’ve also worked with non-profit organizations supporting adult migrants, often non-literate in any Latin alphabet, on their path to language autonomy and social integration.

An immersive, caring and personalized approach

For several years now, I’ve been teaching mostly with students at the B1, B2 and C1 levels — key stages that often feel frustrating.

You may feel stuck, unsure of your progress, or looking to improve your fluency and fine-tune your understanding.
That’s the challenge I love to take on: helping you move past that plateau so French becomes a living, natural and useful part of your everyday life — whether that’s personal, professional, or academic.

My lessons are based on immersive teaching, combining active learning methods (speaking practice, debates, creative workshops, role plays, games…) with authentic resources such as podcasts, videos, film clips, articles and series. I truly believe that immersion even online is the key to lasting progress.

But more than anything, I believe in creating a safe, supportive space for learning.
Learning a language can awaken insecurities, especially as an adult. My role is to help you transform fear into confidence — and confidence into real skills.

I know how it feels, I struggled with learning English myself as a teenager. It felt like a nightmare… until much later, when I finally discovered the joy of expressing myself freely.

Today, I bring that experience into every lesson I teach.
